The World Universiade is an international sports and cultural event that is staged every two years in a different city. The event is the largest university multi-sport competition in the world. Smith & Co. Creative designed the bid dossier for Lake Placid, New York’s bid for the 2023 Winter Games. The International University Sports Federation ultimately selected Lake Placid as the host for the games. The 11-day winter competition typically draws about 2,500 student-athletes who compete in sports including skiing, speed skating, figure skating and hockey.
